Helping AmeriCares, Vietnam Veterans of America, and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles get much needed supplies is as free and simple as clicking over to http://www.Soaps-for-Hope.com.  This is where Facebook fans of Ton Savon, a leading manufacturer of bath and beauty products from the South of France, can have the company donate a bar of soap to each of these organizations on their behalf.

“Ton Savon is excited to have this opportunity to support three organizations dedicated to making a difference in our world,” notes Dana DeVorzon, CEO of Ton Savon.  “We are empowering Ton Savon’s fans to also help make an impact and affect the lives of others with a single click while building awareness for our Soaps for Hope partners.”

AmeriCares is a nonprofit disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization which provides immediate response to emergency medical needs – and supports long-term humanitarian assistance programs – for all people around the world, irrespective of race, creed or political persuasion.  Soaps donated by Ton Savon will be distributed to survivors of devastating disasters, civil conflict or crushing poverty.  More information is available at http://www.americares.org.

“In times of emergency, when families are forced from their homes to emergency shelters and camps, soap helps prevent the spread of disease and restores a sense of personal dignity,” said AmeriCares Director of Emergency Response Garrett Ingoglia. “Thanks to Ton Savon, we’ll pre-position thousands of bars of soap in our warehouse, where they’ll be ready to ship to disaster survivors around the world and across the U.S.”

Founded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America is the only national Vietnam veterans organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families.  Soaps donated to V.V.A. will be provided to veterans through V.V.A. partner support centers.  Visit www.VVA.org to learn more or www.clothingdonations.org to schedule a free pickup at your home of clothing and supply donations.

Shelter is a basic human need and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles strives to achieve its goal of eliminating substandard housing across Greater Los Angeles and around the world by partnering with low-income families and individuals to build decent, sustainable and affordable housing. Soaps donated by Ton Savon will be included in “Welcome Home” baskets for the new partner homeowners, each of whom must invest between 200-500 hours of sweat equity to help build their home and be able to pay back a zero-interest mortgage.
